For its low cost, this hotel is decent. Good location in walking distance to metro and Ximending walking area.
The rooms are small. I think I paid a little extra to get a larger room, which was definitely worth it, though the room was still not huge. My parents’ room barely had any floor space around the bed, which made opening suitcases difficult. They also paid more for a room with a window...which turned out to look two feet to another wall. The advertised rooms and photos were definitely deceptive.
When we arrived, the hot water didn’t work. The technician who fixed it left muddy footprints all over the bathroom, which wouldn’t have been cleaned up if I hadn’t called back and mentioned it. The maid then just wiped it up with a dry paper towel, which didn’t really do much. This all made me doubt the quality of all the cleaning...
Beds were ok but pillows were basically flat. The “free breakfast” was a couple tiny rolls that might run out quickly.
But...the front desk staff were great! So helpful in getting us info, talking on the phone with our next hotel, translating for us. They were really friendly and kind!
Bottles of water were provided daily in the rooms. There was always free snacks and drinks in the lobby, even a free cup of noodles at night (helpful after restaurants closed). Very few seats by the checkin desk, but on the ninth floor there was a common area with tables.
