this is right in the middle of action in ximending-the hip place in taiwan. the rooms are dated, but the location is super. in the 3rd floor they have a dining area where coffee, tea, juices in cartons are free, unlimited bottled water also. the staff speaks good english and attends to your concern. 15 minutes walk from taipei main station, or 5 minutes by taxi-cost around 150 nwt.

The hotel staff was really nice, they always greeted me upon entry and exit as long as they weren’t assisting other guests. Laundry service was quick and everything was laundered well. Location was central to everything in Ximendeng. The room itself was a bit small, but that was expected for a solo traveler. I enjoyed the free refreshments that they offered on the third floor, I’d always stop by for a cup of coffee and a milk tea box on my way out in the morning. I’d recommend this hotel for those looking to stay in this neighborhood and would happily book again if I were ever to visit again

Our stay at Rainbow Hotel in Taipei was nothing short of fantastic! The location is unbeatable, right in the heart of Ximending, surrounded by shops and restaurants, making it convenient for exploring the area. However, what truly made the experience remarkable was the exceptional service provided by the staff, especially a lovely girl with short hair who went above and beyond during our check-out. On the day of our departure, it was raining heavily, and we were struggling to find a taxi to the airport. Despite the challenging weather, she effortlessly stepped in, braved the rain, and helped us secure a taxi in no time! Her genuine kindness and quick action made such a difference and ensured we got to the airport stress-free. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and cozy, offering everything we needed for a pleasant stay. The staff overall were friendly, attentive, and always willing to assist, but this young lady truly stood out with her dedication. If you're looking for a hotel with a prime location and top-notch service, Rainbow Hotel is the place to stay. Thank you again to the staff, especially to the wonderful girl who saved our rainy day! Highly recommended!

Smack in the center of EVERYTHING. Room is a lot bigger than expected. 3rd floor has an eating area that has a coffee machine, a cold drink machine and free bottle water. About a 5 minute walk to the Ximen station. We took the bus from airport. The bus stop was a 5 minute walk to the hotel. On the way to airport, we took the MRT to Taipei station and then used the airport MRT. Very convenient either way. No laundry machines, but we used a coin laundromat about an 8 minute walk away.

Favourite Hotel whenever we visit Taipei. It is conveniently located with very friendly counter staff. They have big and small rooms with different configurations. Just walk out of the hotel and you have shops and eateries everywhere. The area is bustling will activities even if you are back late.
