1301Hostel Ayutthaya

I liked only two things about this place - it's location (that's actually not far from the places I wanted to visit) and also the garden next to the river. Of course there are mosquitoes in the evening, but it's quite nice for the morning and day time. That's all good what I could say about the place. I usually don't complain for the places I stay as I travel on a budget and choose among the cheapest options available. But this time... let me just comment other people's rewiews. I agree that the staff was not friendly with me, they didn't really care about my luggage before and after checking out. There really are dogs right opposite the hostel (they love on the ruins next to the road) and it can be quite scary at night. I really didn't have hot water during my stay. I wouldn't stay there again overall. In February 2020 the hostel was still operated by the people who don't really care about being hospitable. And it wasn't that cheap by the way.

Highly recommended for tourists as it is within walking distance to Ayuthaya Historic Park: clean with a touch of Ayuthaya residential feel. We targeted to arrive late, after the reception closing hours, but the staff were very accommodating, willing to allow us the access after hours, although we ended up arriving before the reception closed.

1) The place close to uncharmed river is invaded by mosquitos 2) The breakfast has nothing to offer 3) The place is far from attractions and dinning place such night market 4) The staff is not friendly with guests 5) Access from dark sreet with agressive dogs 6) Staff reffused to keep bags in a secure place for few hours after check-out (despite they have a big locked staff room behind the reception) 7) After leaving staff saids to booking.com a "no-show" which is also a lie but makes you paid the room twice 8) When i came back to understand why they saids "no-show" the receiptionist didn't accepted any discussion and cried she will call police... 9) No hot shower, bathroom not clean 10) The place don't provide any food/beverage for sale after breakfast time. Had tons of hostels experiences, even in Thailand, people are always friendly, helpful for everything. Can't believe how a nightmare is this place. They should stop working in tourism. Many other hostals in town in the same price-range which are more friendly with better location. Don't waste your time in 1301hostel Ayutthaya, please !!!

So, I came to Ayutthaya for stay a day and visit the city. I came from Chiang Mai and I arrive at 4am more or less in the town. I knew it's close the reception, but after I did many things to make me busy, I went back to the hostel and I saw her. I called and she was just staring at me! I told her I have a reservation and she just did some signal and the she left. I have to walk around again at 7:30am to find another place! In Booking. Com many people talk bad about her, they are right!

It's a good hostel but the owner doesn't understand the concept of hostel. He kicked out a friend of us because we were making noise at 8 in the evening. We were 6 people staying in the hostel and just one girl that wasn't staying there. We were just having beers and he was really ruDe. There are lots of hostels in Ayutthaya on the same price. Just choose another.
