My husband and I have decided to visit the island of Koh Lipe on our holiday vacation. Adang Sea Echo Sunset Villa was already recommended to us by our friends.
We came to the reception and were greeted by Niki. She was nothing short of remarkable. Considering it was high season, she made sure to accommodate our needs and find us available rooms to stay for a week. We had to move twice, but that was on us because we haven't reserved in advance. However, we had a chance to sleep in all room types. It is fair to say we have experienced all the rooms they have to offer.
Our first night was at the beach front bungalow and the pricy one. The room is located on a small cliff looking at the ocean. It was spacious, clean, and the view was breathtaking. Waking up to the ocean sound and picture is super romantic and just breathtakingly beautiful.
Walking down the steps leads to the restaurant/bar & common area located right on the beach.
We went to the bar to order coffee and breakfast and were greeted by Claire. She is one of the owners and one of the coolest people you'd meet on the island.
The food and drinks served at the restaurant are superb. It's unique to the island cuisine, and I highly recommend trying the morning fruit bowl. I've asked for the recipe to make it at home it was so delicious.
The best thing about the place (aside for its beautiful beach) is the staff.
From the owners (Claire), the managers (Nikki), to the guys that serve and run maintenance, they've made our stay a dream.
All advice and recommendations we've got from them was SPOT ON.
if you wish to dive, snorkel, eat, commute, site see, drink, these guys are always happy to give you solid advice and recommendations that aren't biased and cater to your needs.
They've literally turned our stay from visiting another island to visiting ”the island.” This is our fifth time visiting Thailand, and our Koh Lipe visit was one of our best. Much of our excellent experience on the island is entitled to the staff at the place.
The basic bungalow isn't for everyone, and we wouldn't recommend it if you're not into the straw bungalow experience.
However, the rest of the bungalows are great; hot water is running, fantastic food at the restaurant, fantastic sunset beach and some of the coolest people you'd want to meet.
We can't recommend this place enough. If you're visiting Koh Lipe stay there and you'll find out for yourself.
