last morning of my stay slipped on a massive pool of water that had dripped from the aircon overnight and soaked the end of my bed.Dislocated knee, struggled to make it down the stairs.Tried to discuss reparations with management who were extremely rude and unhelpful, blaming me for the faulty aircon and my painful injury. Plenty of other cheap hotels close by with much better service and maintenance! AVOID THIS HOTEL.

When I checked in I knew it was trouble when the girl notified me that there was no elevator available for the economy rooms. We had to walk out the back of the hotel down a garbage strewn alley and walk up the flights of stairs. When we arrived at the room it was not the same room as on the website. This room was smaller than the one depicted in the picture on the website. I told her I was not happy and wanted the room I booked. She informed me that I would have to talk to the manager the next day. I told her I wanted to I switch rooms and I expected the manager to contact me. After two days I still had not heard from the manager. After I saw the SECOND rat in the alley i had to walk through to get to my room I decided to change hotels a day early.

We stayed here for our last few days after travelling around Thailand for a month paying €25-€30 for each previous hotel stay per night & every single place was immaculate & modern & not a single fault... until we arrived at Armoni Patong Beach Hotel. After travelling back from Phi Phi in the afternoon we arrived to the hotel late enough at about 6pm and were told that the hotel was full and that we had to stay in a small room for the night and to speak to the manager in the morning to change rooms. We were brought out of the hotel down a little alley to a separate (very run down) building & we were gobsmacked at the room we were brought to on our first night. It was so small you could not walk around the bed and there was no room to open up our suitcase it was that compact. This was not the room we selected and paid €30 a night for. The following morning we asked to change room which was done so efficiently, in the same building unfortunately but in a bigger room (still extremely basic though). The curtains were hanging off the rail and broken so they couldn’t close properly but we were so happy to be out of the tiny room we didn’t complain... until our third morning when on the previous night our aircon started making extremely loud clicking noises and stopped working. The fan was directly above our bed and was not screwed on properly and looked as if it was going to come off the ceiling so we didn’t feel comfortable leaving it on over night. There is also a “balcony” in an economy room which you cannot step out on it is that tiny so it really shouldn’t be advertised. There is nowhere to hang beach towels or shower towels and no sockets or tables to charge phones near the bed. When we complained that the aircon had stopped working and the noise had caused us lack of sleep I thought they might move us to a better room since we had already been moved after the first night in a room that wasn’t even worth €10 but it was just fixed and nothing else was said. We had booked here for 4 nights very close to the beach & although it is in an excellent location I can honestly say it was the worst four nights & end to our time and experience in Thailand. The economy rooms are a disgrace & should not be priced above €20.

Arrived at 12:30pm and was 'welcomed' by an unenthusiastic lone front desk attendant (in peak season) with: 'Room not ready, check-in time is 2pm' and I knew right away that I was off for some rough time at this hotel (1st time in Thailand that I was not let in check-in after 12 noon!, but maybe room was not ready?). Then at 2:30pm, when I returned from the beach, the lone attendant was still alone and there was a queue of guests trying to check-in; no wonder. I was promptly taken to my "quaters", and what a disappointment: A very dingy room, No view, No desk, No chair, a barely adequate bed, a small fridge BROKEN (but later front desk changed it); I swear I almost walked out but then I said wait: This is peak season and finding another hotel can be impossible! Anyway, luckily, it was only for two nights. I normally never stay in this kind of hotel but reviews were mixed and mostly good, so, obviously, they have much better rooms! Breakfast was fine (given the overall standard). All in all, the high point of my stay was when I WALKED AWAY WITH ALL MY BELONGINGS, HOPEFULLY ONCE AND FOR ALL. (This experience reminded me of the AsiaLoop guesthouse debacle; also reviewed it here on Tripadvisor, but in that instance, I did walk away to another hotel because it was not peak time).
