Currently staying here, couldn’t ask for much better. I have two very gentle labradors, so a couple of hotels l called when driving down didn’t take pets, up to them, I’ve no issue with that... Baan Klang Aow, not only no problem, we got a full goodie basket for the dogs on arrival, incredible... dog bowls, dog snack packs, pet shampoo, pet hairdryer, towels, bed laid for the dogs, etc...
This is a very large resort with about 80 garden bungalows on about 200 rai, I think that’s about 40 acres. 4 different pools to choose from. Kids would have a blast playing “explorers”. Our bungalow has its own lush garden & drive on which l could easily fit 3 cars. Large living room, one bedroom & 2 bathrooms... some bungalows have 2 bedrooms, the largest have 3 apparently... there’s a balcony with furniture. WiFi. Good aircon, not blowy but cooling. Large fridge, modern tv etc. The resort is well maintained and the bungalows are clean, comfortable, all you need... not super luxurious but it’s not offering 5 star luxury.
Last night after arrival (it’s really a 5 hour drive from Bangkok whatever anyone tells you), welcome drinks, friendly helpful staff. I ordered room service which was delicious chicken with cashew nuts (gai pad med mamuang) and faultless chicken fried rice. Very friendly staff, Slept very well. Breakfast is included & was pretty faultless, they just kept bringing it on... omelette so, toast, oj, coffee, chicken fried rice, fresh fruit... that set me up!! Today l had grilled salmon in mushroom sauce which was absolutely good. Bud’s ice cream pots for my daughter!!
Pristine beach, stretches for miles in a large pretty bay. They have some deck chairs and covered bamboo shelter. Dogs went pelting down the beach as soon as l took off their leads!!! My daughter made sand castles. The sea flat calm. No-one on beach of course as right now it’s rainy season and we must be one of only 2 or 3 guests here. I’m yet to see others. It’s overcast & 27 degrees, so very comfortable!!
They have bikes etc, I have a car... there are local facilities not far away, a 7-11/Tesco. Plenty of resorts & restaurants if you want a change. This is a tranquil r&r place.
What’s not to like for 50 quid a night??
