We stayed at the Baan Supannikar for a week around New Years to visit my brother who lives in the city. We were so glad we picked this hotel over the others in Nakhon. We went to check out the highest rated and it was old and worn out. We're we stayed however was new, clean, and comfortable.
Location: we thought it was very convenient. It was central to everything, and in between the two main roads that run north to south.
Room: simple, but very clean. Bed and pillows were firm. Great a/c
Breakfast: way better then we expected. We thought we would just be getting bananas, instant coffee, and toast since that's what we were told breakfast would be. We did get those things, but also sticky rice with Thai custard or banana filling wrapped in banana leaves. A good, filling breakfast.
Staff: spoke little English. One member of the family was there everyday who spoke good English, but the rest spoke only Thai. This wasn't a problem at all tho. Their hospitality and kindness made up for any language barrier.
Other notes: this hotel is great, but noise from outside the room is quite loud inside at times (roosters crowing, people slamming car doors, etc). We had our laundry done (basically 2 small suitcases), and it cost 280 baht (around 8 bucks). We thought that was a steal of a deal.
All in all we had a great stay and would definitely stay here again.
