Room is fairly clean, the toilet can be a little cleaner and brighter.
Room is generally dark and you will need to keep the curtains close at all times, otherwise, everyone seems to be staring in. Generally, the room is clean. Quiet at night and very local feel. I love how the wires are just outside my room - Singapore does not have them and they are kept neatly underground.
We had a King/Queen sized bed & a single bed. The single bed is fine however, when I lay on the King/Queen size bed, it feels as if I am sinking into the deep blue ocean.
There are a lot of channels on the TV, you can enjoy it if you're not doing anything. Staff is friendly and always ready to help with my queries. Some of the staff's English are not that good, but good enough to help you to figure out where to go.
Opposite is the 24/7 convenience stores, so no worries about getting hungry at night. Walk 10 - 15 min and you will reach a night market. It is pretty far from the main beach but still, you can walk. Generally safe at night to walk home even after the partying & drinking. We (3 girls) were well and safe when we walked back (30 min+) from Patong Beach. Tuk tuk should cost you only about 200-250 Baht, don't pay more.
