Stayed here for two nights, found the rooms to be very clean, good wifi and didn’t even need to use the A/C. Laundry came back smelling lovely and the garden area was nice to read in.
The property is abit of a walk from the centre, this wasn’t an issue in the day. However I will say there are quite a few dogs on the walk down, and one in particular was always fairly aggressive towards us. If you are comfortable around dogs this wouldn’t be an issue but me and my partner have always been unsure around them and having one run at you barking in the dark didn’t help! This is obviously common around SEA anyway and something I need to get over as most don’t seem too bothered by you. (We got a tuk tuk the next night.)
The best thing about the hostel was the manager’s willingness to help us despite the communication barrier. We asked about how to get to Sukhothai, and he put us on the phone to his friend who did speak English. She then told us she would get the bus times and the manager would get the tickets for us if we gave him the money. He literally went straight out to the bus station for us and then organised a tuk tuk for us the next day to go to the bus station for a reasonable price. This made things very easy for us, we had been unsure due to conflicting forums about whether there even was a direct bus to Sukhothai!
