First of all my driver/guide made reservations for this resort. I had only seen pictures but did not know what to expect. We really liked staying here for one night. The room was clean and felt more like a cabin and was located right next to the river!. The room was clean and it had the basic. We even saw a small lizard wondering outside the bathroom window. Don't forget we were next to the river! We did not mind it. The bed was OK. The TV only had Thai or other Asian programing. I must say the setting of this location is rustic but very pretty. The resort also is at the bottom of the Thai and Berma border next to the river. There were also chickens, fruit trees and flower trees in the courtyard. We had a small bench to sit outside and look at the river and the mountain right in front of our room. It was like looking at a tall wall of green lush forest! We could hear the birds and see the muddy water in the river as it had been raining. It was different in a nice way.
I could see the river but also on the top of the mountain I could see the back of a huge white Buddha statue on top of the hill and it was all lit up. I found out we were on the valley below the Wat Thaton temple which we visited the next morning after breakfast. The eating area sits right next to the river so it was nice and serene having breakfast so close to nature. Breakfast was good and she cooked it to order. We had eggs, bacon, coffee, juice and toast. The only thing that happened is the rain caused to have a power failure and I had to wait for electricity to come back before I could shower. The hot water is powered by a electric pump placed above the shower. It was peaceful staying at this place.
