We first stayed at the Bay Breeze in 1997. In many ways, thankfully, not a lot has changed. The rooms are well maintained, the beds very comfortable and the bed linen fresh and clean. The room made service is very efficient. There is a very good selection of breakfast items and the buffet is a very reasonable 150 Baht. What has changed since 1997 is the provision of flat screen TVs with many English channels and fast free WiFi. While things can sometimes go wrong, at the Bay Breeze they are quickly fixed. Previous reviewers stating that the staff are unfriendly with poor English are simply incorrect. Everyone from the bell boy to the Manager Khun P’yow cannot do enough to help you and in a friendly way. The staff at Bay Breeze are like a family and treat you with warmth and kindness. We didn’t meet any member of staff who we could not easily communicate with. Even the owners who live in the hotel are friendly and welcoming. Khun P’yow the manager has been at the Bay Breeze for all the years we have been visiting ( and has not aged one bit!) and we are sure her guiding influence has kept the hotel successful all these years, particularly when we noticed other local hotels had very few guests while the Bay Breeze was 100% full during our stay. As I am sure the manager would agree, we are not that easy to please, but we find little, if anything at the Bay Breeze to complain about. Lastly, the hotel is very well located just off second road, close to the beach, Central Festival shopping centre and the Night Bazaar. I’d like to think that previous unsatisfied reviewers were simply unlucky, because in all our visits over the years we have never had a bad experience, and have always been satisfied, particularly when you consider the reasonable room rates.
