Bulone Leh is a rustic & peaceful, undeveloped island.
There is very little to do (no beach parties, although there is a beach bar) and you feel at the end of the earth.
There are few accommodations (maybe 4, 5 total, so try to book in advance) on the island & Bulone Resort is the best.
Featuring simple, beautiful, raised wooden bungalows with outdoor bamboo-enclosed showers (rainfall showerheads), this is the perfect spot for getting away from everything.
Just note that there are no ATMs on the island, so bring plenty of cash. This resort does accept credit cards, so OK to charge meals etc.
Electricity is cut during the day on the island.
Also, depending on tides & since the coast is rocky, the Pak Bara high speed boat may drop off with a standing long-tail water taxi (50 Baht per person) in the middle of the Andaman, off of Panka Bay on the north coast.
From there, Bulone Resort will send a tractor for the 7-minute commute through the island.
Beach towels are not provided.
Since this is true island living, the resort staff may not return emails as quickly as one may like, but I had no problem.
When we booked our room, they required full payment.
Still, a gorgeous location with excellent bungalows.
Just remember that you're on a small, undeveloped Thai island in the far south Satun Province, so channel your inner Robinson Crusoe and get down with this peaceful, rustic paradise.
