BY Hotel Kanchanaburi is not near to any River Kwai attractions nor shopping center for personal conveniences. However, if you have available transportation, this hotel serves to provide a reasonable stay for the price they are offering.
It is a 3-level building with rooms on the 1st and 2nd levels only. No lift is installed in the building and if you are carrying heavy luggage - you know which level you will ask for. The hotel provides security glass door between the lobby sitting area and the corridor leading to the guest rooms. To access, you need to tap on the glass door sensor with your room key.
The room is clean with the provision of bath and face towels, and a small amount of body wash and shampoo cater to only one person for one-time usage. So, a convenience store within walking distance is necessary but there isn't any. Before checking-in, it is advisable to stock up your essentials. Otherwise, you may have to drive or take a taxi a few kilometers down the road to get your stuff.
The bed is hard but still able to have a restful night for some. Breakfast is free but nothing special. It is just for a quick touch-on and is not cater to last the entire morning. You still need to fill your stomach somewhere else if what you see is not appealing.
The service staff is a bunch of nice people, helpful and friendly to accede to your reasonable requests. The car parking lot is more than sufficient but most of the time it is empty.
