Accommodation & decoration - excellent, sophisticated functional layout. View - top-notch. Service - some great, helpful staffs - special thanks to K Chol and K Teoy for their genuine hospitality. Although Burmian workers are all equally careless, hard to get them to understand you no matter what language you use. They handled luggages with no cares. Driving trucks super fast up and down hills. Cleanliness - one of the worst. To hotel manager, you really need inspections from health and safety. I have never seen this many cockroaches before in my life. At pool, kitchen, bathroom, bedrooms. We have moved 3 houses from B2, C8 and C1. All of them are full of cockroaches. Noise pollution - musics at 6pm to 11pm of not later, coming from Sai Dang beach direction. As well neighbors are always partying till late and their pool is just above your roof. Hospitality - brilliant. I fell over on wet slippery steps one night. The owner offered to take me to hospital. I’m really grateful for that. Thank you :) Massage - great. Therapists are polite and skillful. Verdict: 1. keep it clean. 2. train the burmian to fit the job. 3. build a proper lobby. 4. train the truck drivers to drive more carefully. and you will be second to none.

We went as a couple to spend two night in these villas . The truth is this place is a quite and very pleasant place . The view of the sea , closed at to shark bay and private wooden platform in the ses . We were lucky to see huge turtles and two sharks . We will back again....

Wish I would have read the reviews before I booked. Gorgeous place but it is a construction site so not quite the holiday I was after. If you’re into saws, hammers, guys spitting and shouting while they work, this could be the holiday for you. Changed rooms because the construction sounds were so loud, but then was moved into a nice, but a bit run down vila. Skip it until they are really ready to host guests properly.

I can't say enough good things about how great our stay was here. We won two free nights for a studio apartment that Cape Shark had donated for the local animal clinic fundraiser. It was a friend's birthday, so we wanted to upgrade to a larger villa. When we went to book we asked to upgrade to a two bedroom villa . We were more than willing to pay for the price difference. Without hesitating, they happily upgraded us for free, to a three bedroom. It was such a wonderful stay! The staff treated us as if we were any other paying guest. The villa had EVERYTHING you could hope for from kitchen supplies, to food in the fridge (eggs, bread, condiments), to a partitive pool, good WiFi, BBQ, etc. You even get a cell phone so you can call whenever you needed something. I would highly recommend staying here. Located on a quiet part of the south side of the island, it is prefect for families, honeymooners, couples, and friends.

We stayed at Cape Shark Villas for three nights in villa C23C. We'd excitedly booked off the strength of TripAdvisor reviews and the idea of a secluded spot where we could relax by a private plunge pool. There were lots of plus points, but ultimately for all the good about what this resort will be as it stands I think it would struggle to justify its four star rating. The positives include furnishings that are all clearly intended for luxury land a plunge pool that (had we used it) had incredible views out onto the bay. But on the downsides... - The resort is under construction. That's not just a noise problem, it spoils the whole environment. Photos attached, but if I had gone in the pool then a building site would have been to my left and right. - The mosquito problem is real, and while that's understandable given the environment, for a four star place I'd have expected more effort to be put in to solving it. Even the mosquito spray was priced as part of the mini-bar. Complimentary plug-ins and citronella candles would have shown positive intent. - The location is difficult given it's far from town and with difficult road to get there. So in that context, the fact the shuttle only runs one way (into town) during the day (before 5.30pm) means if you want to go have brunch/lunch and do a little exploring, you're paying 500-600baht to get back by taxi or you're hanging around. - The resort itself has completed villas without completing pathways to get between them. They are STEEP. We're fit guys, but even we were sweating to get between our villa and reception. At only one point had steps been put in, so good luck to those in flip flops. It shouldn't be that strenuous to access core parts of the resort. I genuinely think this is going to make for a fantastic resort, they just need to finish building it and round off the edges.
