The National Park is terrific, but we really didn't like this concrete, modern style hotel. The room layout, with a bath in the middle of an open-plan room, was weird and inconvenient. Apart from reception, few staff are English speakers. Breakfast so bad we only bothered once in three days. I found the beds uncomfortably soft to the point I found it hard to sleep, especially with the flashing lights from the key holder and smoke alarm. Tiny smokers balcony with no room to sit out, except on a 2-foor bench seat, with a view dominated by rooms jutting out on either side. Cleaning was perfunctory - mud from our shoes in the doorway remained untouched. The hotel was, remarkably, full, occupied primarily it seemed by weekenders from Bangkok.I guess that's how they justify the prices, because nothing else did. Loved the area, but would not stay here again.
