For a 3 month old hotel the Kean Kluen Talay seriously needs help especially on the with frontdesk ( reception) service. We had booked our room through Agoda as most travelers do, expecting at least a bathtub for the price we paid.
Upon entering the ‘villa’ we quickly asked if they could arrange an upgrade .. after much haggling we were told it would cost at least USD 100 to up grade to one with a bathtub.
The hotel currently has only one customer, is and the expected us to pay full FIT rate for a small upgrade. The is almost no difference in size between the unit we are in and one with a bathtub.
We were more than happy to pay USD 70 for the upgrade but on principal refused to pay the extra 30 needed for the upgrade
Other than that the hotel is quite decent.
