Myself and a friend stayed here over Christmas. Christine in reception literally is the friendliest person, I even went back to her after I had checked out and moved to a hostel for advice etc. The hotel itself is small which is good as its not loud at night. There is a cute sitting place that overlooks the beach, but in the mornings its packed because of the ferry passengers. our room was clean and when asked it was cleaned for us. The bathroom is like all Thai bathrooms, with the shower head landing directly on top of the toilet. I never ate or drank at the hotel so cannot comment on that. Coconut Monkey next door is great for breakfast but it does get busy. one thing to note is that the back porch bit is completely open, even at night, as are the front doors, so really anyone can walk in. Although the Island is extremely safe, and once your door is locked there are no problems.
