The La De Bua Hotel is a seedy creepy old hotel with no security and no facilities. This place doesn't look anything like the photos they must have been taken years ago. The rooms aren't as big as in many Thai hotels and this hotel was not maintained well and is not worth staying at. They was one of the really old fashion style TVs and watching it was like fun to watch TVs for the snow storm. There is a lift in the building, tea and coffee making facilities, a bar fridge and minibar. The place felt dodgy and unsafe. The reception staff didn't speak any English. Don't waste your money and don't stay here.

The La De Bua Hotel, Patong is an old dump of ahotel and the rooms and description are misleading and don't look anything like the photos shown on hotel web sites. The night reception staff can't speak any English and don't even make any attempt. The reception is an open shop front style open air open to the street and there is no security and any person can walk in off the street and just get into the lift and go up to any of the floors. The hotel itself looks and feels quite dodgy and more resembles some way people would take a prostitute. The rooms themselves are small to average size for Thailand and they're very old with dated decor with an old CRT style television that did not even work. Not the flat panel TV with premium channels as advertised on hotel websites. There is a bar fridge, free water, a hair dryer and an old 4 poster bed. The beds in Asia are firm and this was no different but the sheets were clean & the bed wasn't too hard. The bathroom is also very old and dated and the toilet did not work properly and the shower only had a shower curtain, the water pressure was reasonably good, however the water was not hot, it was just lukewarm which I guess is ok considering the warm humid climate. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone unless you were really strapped for cash and just one for the same way to stay for one night.

Had a top floor deluxe room. Room large, but had a strange smell and was very hot even with aircon on. Bed is fourposter and comfy. bathroom is well equipped, but slow draining shower. Main issue was that the reception was often left unmanned, with no security. Reception is open to the street and anyone could wander in unchallenged and take the lift up to the rooms. As room keys were often on the reception desk this is very insecure. Hotel very central, 10 mins from beach/Jungceylon/Bangla Road and just across the road from Soi Paradise, the gay nightlife zone... The road is very busy though, so take care.

The place is cool and safe and much closer to the Bangla St. Its worth for the price you spend, complimentary not so much though. about half a km away from the beach. Room service is average, not a special view to look at.

Had a little trouble while checking in as we booked two nights from two separate hotel aggregator websites. The lady at the reception could not find the bookings but got sorted peacefully. Drawback was they wouldn’t allow check-in before 2pm although the room was empty, even upon requesting. But I guess that’s the general rule throughout Thailand. But they did allow us to use the public washroom at the ground floor. It was very clean. Room was simply fabulous for the money we paid. There were white curtains on all sides of the bed. Felt like a honeymoon suite. One wall of the room was a large window covered by a beautiful curtain and overlooking the street. Coffee maker and complimentary coffee/tea kit were provided everyday. Washroom was too good. Quite big in size and had 6 towels in total of various sizes for various uses. Location was also close to the beach. Overall fantastic! Oh yes! The safe locker was extremely easy to use. A 5 stars from my end.
