We had a trip with our friends from abroad and decided to bring them to Koh Kood as we felt first impression since we had visited with our brothers in Oct,2016 which around a year and 4 months only and which to spend 4 nights there. Even the guest house is located near the river which there still many mosquitoes, but know how to prepare and know how to avoid the mosquites which is risk for the Denque and Malaria. We had first contacted them in July, 2017 because the trip set for Feb, 2018. We had asked for the room we had stayed last time and ask for paying the deposit. The lady who manages the guest house said we don't need to deposit and we could pay on spot due to we had been there before. Just let her knows only before we arrived. However we felt not too sure that we got the room as we preferred. We had contacted for the second time to make sure that we could get the room as we wanted. The same lady said no worried, she had booked the room for us and insisted to get the deposit once again. Then 3 days before we arrived in the island, we had called to her and she just told us that she had offered the room to other people and told us that she would offered the other room to us. We just asked that how she did this. Because we had called many times to offer her the deposit to make sure that we could have the room. We felt upset and still think positive because she told that there one room available at the back which we agreed and fine for us due to it is not far to walk to see our friends which stayed 10 minutes away from us. However after the arrival at Mark House, we had met the lady with glasses and the braces who starts to blame us that there was no room because we didn't confirm her that we're going to come which is the lie. When we asked for the room which she told us that it was at the back of the guest house's area, she said there's still the room and still blaming us that we didn't call to confirm. But thing get worse in 2 minutes when she told us that there's no room available!!! Just in 2 minutes!!! That was terrible to compare with the first time in October, 2016. We felt that she has no spirit and no service mind at all. In case if she talked nicer as the mistake had already happened. If she could help us to solve the problem and say apologize and at least offer some little help. That would be great, but not at all. Only blame and complained. We're highly not recommend people to stay there. Not only the staffs not nice, but we felt they had changed and smell money now.
If you have a change to visit to Koh Kood, try other hotels or other guest houses which there are many spread around the island is better.
