Nantawan Guesthouse

I stayed in on the bungalows for the whole of February.. it’s in a lovely garden setting just of the Main Street so shops bars banks all on doorstep and 5 minutes walk to beach. Bungalow is well furnished has large fridge and kettle in a separate area, good shower WiFi and air con. Pip the host is friendly and helpful, she also does pick up for guests arriving st the pier highly recommend

One of the most price worthy places to stay in Koh Lanta. Great location, lovely staff, and fantastic accommodation. By ferry from Phi Phi to Railay we stayed at the Nantawan for a couple of nights to explore Koh Lanta. Highly recommended.

The house is situated off the street behind a motorbike rental office, so first it’s fairly difficult to find. It consists of two rooms, both have porches and a little wooden sofa and table on the porch. The room in itself is large, had AC, cupboard, TV and a bathroom. The bathroom was not very well planned, the shower was in front of the toilet, which meant that you could sit on the toilet to take a shower (might be convenient for some), but it also meant that after the shower you had to “wade” in the water to get to the toilet. No means of mopping up the water. The toilet seat was not properly attached, so the slightest movement meant you almost fell off. The pressure in the shower was almost nonexistent, so for a woman with long hair, it takes forever to rinse. There was a “kitchen” area consisting of a big fridge, no kettle. In the bedroom there was a king size bed with, after having slept on hard mattresses for a month and having gotten used to this, the worst mattress ever, it was like sleeping straight on the wood. No cleaning during the duration of the stay, so the bins got full, and the one in the toilet... 🤢 It says that there is cleaning once during the stay, but I stayed there four nights and nothing. The WiFi was utter crap! Reception really poorly, and if you’re a foreigner relying on that for the contact, it’s bad!! In my opinion I would not recommend this place.
