We encountered several issues here, possibly the worst hotel experience I have ever had. Firstly be aware there is no fitness suite so this is falsely advertised. If you wish to use the swimming pool this is chargeable at £1.25 per person per day. We were considering staying for 3 weeks so could have been faced with a substantial bill had we used the pool every day.
The Laundry is ridiculously expensive, more so than 5 star hotels I have stayed at in Bangkok, around £1.50 for a single item. There is no iron provided in the room and they will not provide you with one so you also need to pay them to do this for you.
My girlfriend was heavily pregnant so I requested a second room key to allow her to rest while I went shopping, the manager wouldn't allow this "1 room, 1 key" was the response shouted at me. On one occasion I accidentally left the key in the room while we went to the pool. When I asked to be let back into the room I was informed I would be fined. It was "punishment for my carelessness " I've never heard anything so ridiculous! The key was in the room! Obviously I refused to pay which resulted in a 20 minute stand off. In the end they let me back in but kept my deposit! Unbelievable!
The walls are paper thin so don't expect a peaceful nights sleep.
The staff don't speak English with the exception of the Manager and he isn't there all the time.
In summary the hotel is clean, new and has potential, the management rules and regulations ruin the experience, a little compassion and emotional intelligence would make a big difference. Understand your customers, make them feel welcome and wanted, otherwise you will fail as a business.
