Ok, lets get the 2 negatives out the way, as on the whole this isn't a bad hotel. . . .
THE BEDS ARE AWFUL!!!!!! We have never experienced such hard beds in our life, I think it would have been fair to say, sleeping on the concrete flooring would have been no different! When you sit on the edge of the bed, it doesn't even dip. After a few nights, the bed had started to take it's toll, causing both my boyfriend and I severe back ache, aching ribs & Hips and restless nights. We had booked for a 15 night stay, our saving grace to relieve this was a trip 3 days in, to Koh Samed for 3 nights, where the beds were beautiful and helped us catch up on sleep!! By the end of the first week, our backs were in a bad shape, so much so, we actually left the hotel and checked out early, to stop with our friends down at the villa's on a comfortable bed! If you were looking for a long stay, i would take the beds into consideration before booking as sleepless nights and aching bodies may take its toll on your holiday. Short stops would be ideal.
My only other gripe, was that the bathroom shower area looked grubby when we arrived. There were water marks all over the wall, where they hadn't been cleaned, which was disappointing. Not a game changer, but you can't compromise on cleanliness in my opinion - No matter how cheap it a place is.
On the whole though, the hotel was ideal for what we needed. We were visiting Pattaya with friends and their family. They were based at their dad's a short walk away at Mike Orchid Villa's II, so we decided to book Siwa house for it's location and price through recommendation. It was the ideal location for both my partner and I and our friends who was also staying in a room, but if you are looking for a hotel within walking distance of the town, this is a little further out than would be ideal.
You can get a Moped Taxi, Baht bus or regular taxi into the town, which didn't break the bank at around £3-4 per trip but, because of the location of the hotel, Baht Buses and Taxi's were few and far between and when ordered took a while to arrive. There is a Moped Taxi stop point just down from the hotel though, so for ease and a couple of quid, (and providing you have a good heart and willing to be a real life stunt man hahaha) you weren't complete out in the sticks. If you hire a car though, there is ample parking at the hotel, so easy enough. Depending on traffic, which was usually heavy day or night, it would take between 15 minutes to an hour to get into the town.
Just down the road, there are some lovely local bars and cafe's with friendly staff happy to help. Casuals, a few minutes walk away served a lovely english breakfast for a couple of £ and Muphey's a little walk further did excellent Thai and English food. I also recommend eatting at Starlight (Opposite Murphys bar) and just before Starlight is a roadside stall called SAR's!!! It is AMAZING and sooooooo cheap!!!!! I'm talking pence to eat really good, fresh and tasty Thai food!! There is also a couple of mini super markets a few minutes walk too.
All in all, when we booked this hotel we paid £10.85 per night, so you can't grumble at that! If you can cope with hard mattresses, then the hotel on the whole is clean and friendly and in a quiet location of Soi Koh Noi, Pattaya. Air-con free of charge, water left in your room daily a long with fresh sheets every other day and a good size fridge in the room. There's nothing flash about the hotel, so don't expect picturesque views off the balcony or a swimming pool, but there is free WIFI. If you just want a place to sleep, they its ideal :)
