This is a pleasant and quiet hotel (except for when airliners pass overhead) which is very convenient for the beautiful Jet Yod temple. As long as you rent a bicycle from one of the better rental companies (such as Cacti) you will have access to 95% of this city. There is, however, a flaw with this hotel: It is in 2 sections and the non-resident owners have only installed wifi for half of it. You may get a variable signal in the other half from time to time but it will be missing for most of the time. This year it is much worse than on previous years. So if you need good web connectivity this is not the place for you

This small but unexciting hotel has pleasant rooms, friendly staff, who as typically Thai, like small chilldren. It has a lot of greenery. It has limited facilities and I don't recommend their breakfasts. If you have come to Thailand for boozing in bars, drugs or the sex parlours you won't like this hotel. Apart from when aircraft fly over every now and then from 8am to about 10pm it is in a quiet part of the city by Chiangmai standards - road noise is low. It is, of course, too small to have Chinese tour groups use it and most users are couples or families- many know their way around Thailand. If you are new to Chiangmai and don't have your own transport you may find this hotel too far out of the city and too far from the routes of the red pick-up transport - so you will need to get the hotel staff (if you can find them) to ring for a taxi to come to pick you up. Visitors are advised to find a Chiangmai street map as soon as they arrive in the city and work out where this hotel is relative to Wat Yed Yod (a noticeable local temple) so if they are in the centre of town and want to return to the hotel and the taxi driver doesn't know it you can tell him to take you to the temple. The hotel can give you their business cards in both English and Thai so that solves the problem as well. Beware the bicycles that the hotel will lend you. They have Raleigh badges on them but they appear to be rubbishy Chinese fakes and the hotel doesn't maintain them. If you can cope with cycling on Thailand's undisciplined roads you can find better quality bikes being rented elsewhere. If you are one of those who is happy to rent a small Japanese motor bike from one of the many companies that offer this or if you have a car you may find this relaxed hotel very pleasant to stay in.

Quite a way from the centre of town but it means you have this quiet oasis at the end of your day of temple-visiting, sight-seeing, shopping etc. 2 pools, good breakfast, large rooms and very friendly and helpful staff. Seemed like it was a family-run place and all the better for it. Yes, about a dozen or so times a day, a plane flew overhead but by no means enough to spoil our stay. Would go back next time.

We stayed in one of the garden villas we pre-booked for 5 nights big mistake! The hotel is on the flight path for the airport planes fly over at about 1000 feet from 6am to midnight. Hotel advertises two pools but only small one open. Hotel advertises pool side bar this does not exist. Breakfast is basic but included in price, eating is outside next to closed pool. There is no bar or restaurant at this resort, you have to walk down Soi to local Thai food market. Quite away from town & very very difficult to get a taxi driver to take you to hotel - especially from the night bazaar. When they do take you most have to phone as cannot find it! Only three plus points for here: cheap laundry, free tea & coffee, comfy bed.

The most relaxing budget place to stay in chiang mai a bit out of tge centre but easily reachable with good facility's and very friendly staff.
