New construction at the beginning of Kpalime - a deviation opposite the old Grand Hotel du 30 Aout. Though you can see plenty of "unfinished touches", like some cables sticking out on the walls and some ceilings, it provides better "hard" amenities than your average Kpalime Hotel. Virtually all tiled, you can see there has been some serious investment. Large rooms, floating floor. Electronic locks, and required the room key inserted on wall power saver switch. Tried swapping around the room key for other plastic keys to have aircon on while away - no go. It requires your coded room key. Given the absurd electricity price in Togo, i guess they also went with it mostly due to cost reasons. Green all the way! Two twin beds joined together and topped over with a queen bedsheet. Crisp white linen. The mattress was quite on the firm side. Modern, working A/C. Wifi reception in the room was spotless. Overall download speed as tested, around 4 Mbps so you'll be able to catch on those pesky emails that they keep sending you despite being on holiday (great speed for Togo!). Flatscreen TV with a selection of channels from the french Canal Plus bouquet. HDMI and USB inputs are accessible and selectable on the TV remote, so that is good. Despite the room being large, the bathtoom albeit clean, is on the smallish side. No physical separation between the shower, and the sink+toilet, so all will be wet, but will dry fast. Good quality towel. Big swimming pool, quite well kept. I usually have ear infections quite easily in pools, and nothing here - so great! Smiling staff. Thumbs up for the bar waiter! On the negative side - despite the room being spotless, the aircon filters inside the indoor unit were full of dust. Certainly the maintenance folks have not touched it in over a month - resolved by quickly washing it under the showerhead. - No amenities other than one soap, so bring your own toiletries. - Room was set with inly one person in mind - only one towel. No separate hand towel. - mild limescale buildup on shower head - so it pours water in all directions. Rubbing the shower head resolved most of the problem. - The wood used in the door has swollen and then shrank, which renders the door distorted, leaving a slight gap thst allows for the entrance of the corridor's light in the room. - Soundproofing is poor. Diring one of the nights that I have stayed, the guests in the room opposite mine had a "nights out" syndrome and as such they kept entering and leaving their room, banging doors while shouting in the corridor. Hotel staff tried to discipline them but it was on the hard side. - Breakfast selection consists on pastries, baguette bread, unsalted butter. Cereal. Tea, coffe, juices. No jams or cold cuts of any kind, though they offer basic omelettes a la carte for no extra charge. - Sunday breakfast had stale pastries - i would rather not have used them at all for breakfast. - one can see that there is not a lot of movement in the hotel. Probably due to the season. Hotel has sauna and hammam but have not used. Very basic gym room also. The entrance is discouraging as it is full of dust - another point that ahould be worked upon. Also, there is a prepped up area for a nice pool bar, but it was empty and not used. Not a problem at all, but then there is no waiter available to tak your order, nor there is a phone available to place any order. You need to go to the reception. Dripping swimsuit and shirtless, hooray! But my order was delivered in full, even if took a bit for some sandwiches. - a pity the receptionists could not be really helpful. No explanation of the hotel services (the lady did't even knew the hotel had a "spa" despite advertised on the brochure in front of her). All of these "cons" on its own are not dreadful, but when put together start becoming something. There is clearly room for improvement. However, we cannot forget that the hote is already at a level considerably higher than the Kpalime average and there is not a lot of places to actually learn for the local staff, so it will be an on the job training kind of thing. I must say that i was quite surprised after coming from a long daytime trek, i returned to my room and it had a romace decoration - despite the room being in single occupancy. (Review photo has the phone on the floor as i pit it there to gain spfe on bedside tabletop) Overall, i will gladly return.

Don’t let the well manicured grounds and exterior with nice pool area fool you. Libby looks great as does the restaurant area. I’m sure we were the only people here - they try to save on everything from lights to toilet paper, etc. No shampoo only 1 bar soap. Rooms are in bad need of repair and maintenance. Tv not working till we took off the wall and installed cable properly. Wires hanging from wall and ceiling - not good for small children who may want to touch them. No drinking water or kettle or cup. Barely any lights in lobby. Free Breakfast was only banquettes, croissant and danish with juice and hot drink. Only 1 jam - had to ask for more but they seemed reluctant. Cut limes were dried out and old. Pool was nice and refreshing but loungers were completely worn out and you could not sit on it. Very expensive for very poor conditions. We travel extensively world wide and found this place to not be worth the money- very overpriced for the conditions.
