I was at Azim Hotel during 7th-14th May as a participant in a Youth Exchange project. The hotel itself is nice, on very good location and has very good facilities for 2-stars - new furniture, spacious rooms, clean common areas, good wi-fi signal also in the rooms, polite staff (even though they don't speak English).
- our room (5 people) was made up just once for a week. We had to remove the garbage (there was only one small bin in the bathroom) every day.
- I saw the chambermaid going to work at 10 a.m., going to the restaurant, having a cup of coffee and small breakfast, talking and hanging around the reception. She looked as she doesn't worry about her job. Our linen and towels weren't changed for a week and at the end of the our stay we had to search for toilet paper.
- In the evening everybody smoke in the restaurant - from the general manager and the restaurant staff to the external male visitors who were watching football match and shout loud. We had some sessions during the evening in the restaurant and it was quite smoky and unpleasant for nonsmokers.
Generally, the staff is pretty helpful (especially Yalcin) and try to do it best.
Would come back if smoking is forbidden and room cleaning service improved.
