i stayed for one night, the location is in the middle of meydanı, steps away from the old market where you can buy souvenirs, have a traditional meal and shop.. the front desk is helpful,breakfast is good, room is a bit small but clean and comfortable, lower level is a bit noisy if you are a sleep lover

Nice staff, great location. I was her for Ramadan in 17. The room was pretty small but the price was great! Good breakfast. Overall I enjoyed my stay and felt safe. The square is just steps away and is full of restaurants.

We didn’t get off to a good start. There was apparently no record of our prepaid booking through an agent. We were left while the manager tried to sort it out. Unusually for Turkey there was no offer of tea or anything while we were kept waiting. We made an international call to our agent who confirmed with us that the booking had been made and it would be sorted. Meanwhile he suggested we book in again to make sure we had a room. The hotel asked for prepayment which we refused but we were shown to a room. Later, confirmation came through and we were shown to our “booked” room. No apologies. This set the tone for this very basic hotel. Breakfast was mediocre. The room was very noisy from the street till very late. However, the location proved to be good. I don’t know how this hotel compares with others in the town but we were not impressed.

Horon Hotel is on a small street, just 20m north of the central Meydani and the tourist office, bus offices and pedestrian streets. Clean comfortable rooms, fridge, large bathrooms, some with a view of the Kara Deniz/Black Sea, The usual excellent Turkish breakfast served on the 6th floor. A good laundry, Atlas, just down the street. A superb deli opposite the hotel, plus an Efes Buffet for beer and wine - hard to find in Trabzon. Numerous good restaurants along the Meydani - The Balik/fish one close by served up some of the best fish we've had anywhere. Central Trabzon is very pleasant - well worth a couple of days.

They have clean and good rooms. Comfortable bed. Breakfast was good. Location is great! Just in the middle of the old town city center. They have a very nice rooftop with beautiful view on the blacksea. Very nice and helpful staff.
