My partner and I were staying in this hotel as part of a personal celebration. We have stayed in several of their hotels in the past, all with positive experiences.
However on this occasion we were both disappointed and concerned with what we noticed in the room.
Firstly, and most worryingly, there was a handprint against the wall in the bathroom which had clearly not been sufficiently cleaned from a past resident. This may normally be disregarded however considering the current global situation regarding the coronavirus pandemic, it is deeply concerning that the room had not been cleaned, even to the state that a clear hand print was left on the wall. I dread to think of the purpose of the mark being there - which potentially makes it even worse.
Next, there was signification amounts of mold along the base of the shower screen. Again this would be a hygiene concern of mine without considering the pandemic and it’s close association to cleanliness.
Finally and equally as dangerous was a loose socket on the wall, displaying electrical wires.
I’m sure I don’t need to explain the safety issues these points raise, but what is most disappointing is the lack of pride the staff at the Leeds North hotel hold for their workplace, and lack of respect for paying (and often loyal) customers.
To top it off, these concerns were raised via email to the Village Hotels complaints department and were completely ignored!!
