There was a technical problem booking this hotel. Somehow, we booked the hotel on the day we made the reservation instead of the day we were staying in Frederick. We did not become aware of the problem until the day after we made the reservation when we received an email asking how we enjoyed our stay. of course, we did not enjoy our stay since we were not there. I immediatedly rebooked the hotel for the following week, when we had intended to stay at this property and contacted Choice Hotels, through which we had booked the hotel and explained the problem. They said we would have to contact the hotel for a remedy. I called the hotel and explained the problem to the desk clerk, who said we were listed as a no-show and our credit card was charged $82. I asked the manager if the hotel was full that night. She said it was half full, so the hotel did not lose any revenue as a result of our not being there. I requested a refund or a credit, but the manager said we would have to take it up with the owner, a Mr. Patel. I sent an email to Mr. Patel, with a copy to the manager, but received no response. The following week when we checked into the property for our intended stay, I spoke with the manager, who was sympathetic to our situation, but had no poer to rectify it. She said she would speak to the manager and get back to me. i never received a response. I sent two more emails and made two more calls to the manager and still have not received a response. Needless to say, I have not received a refund or a credit for the night we were not there but were charged $82. I will be the first to admit that the hotel was not legally required to refund our payment or give us a credit becuae of the cancellation policy. However, the customer relations or lack of it exhibited by this property was beyond terrible. We pass through Frederick, MD often and will never again stay at this property. Oh, by the way, the so-called breakfast buffet served in the hotel basement was inedible. We wound up having coffee and a roll at the Wawa across the street.
