This is your typical Marriott: competent staff, impeccably clean, very comfortable, with no character and a bit sterile. They were taking COVID seriously -- everybody was masked up, and lots of cleaning was happening. And this hotel has no blaring slot machines or gambling -- a big plus. But the down side is that this hotel is located right on the edge of Reno's sketchy zone. The downtown casinos are about five blocks to the Northwest. It is reasonably safe to walk in that direction. To the East, North, or along the river to the East gets seriously rough, however. Reno has always had a dark side, but since the pandemic the homeless problem is out of control. The area was full of desolate, sad, sometimes-dangerous-looking lost souls. I've never seen it so bad. COVID has hit Reno hard, and it shows. As for logistics, parking was across the street in a big lot, and wasn't too much -- I think five bucks a night. The Marriott staff, as always, was great. The ball park across the street was shuttered. I prey for Reno's recovery.

If you can get over having to view a dirty river with homeless people living on the river bank you will be fine. First Courtyard to have security after hours really makes me wonder. Staff was cordial and the the hotel was well upkept.

Fairly new hotel located near downtown Reno and casinos and directly across the street from Greater Nevada Field home of the AAA Reno Aces Ball Club(AZ Diamondbacks) and the 1868 FC Soccer Club. The Truckee River flows along side to the south. A friendly staff greets you in a spacious lobby/lounge area. Our room was clean and comfortable with a river view. Coffee maker and microwave were located in the room as well as large TV. Our granddaughter enjoyed the heated pool and spa. It is covered however open walls facing to the south. The Bistro Bar located in the lobby served breakfast and Starbucks Coffee and cocktails and bar food in the evening. Our only complaint was they did not offer free breakfast to Marriott Platinum/Titanium members which is a common practice at other Marriott properties. Self parking only in the parking structure next to the hotel.

Great hotel for my business trip very close to airport and Reno’s downtown. The hotel was clean and the room was comfortable and the gym was well equipped. The rooms are very quiet minimal noise can be heard from the outside. I would stay here in my next travel.

This was a stay during Chrismast break. I have to burn a couple of my Marriott free nights via my Marriott credit cards. The property seem to be pretty new. It's located across from the Reno minor league baseball park. The back of the property is next to the river, but across the other side of the river was a homeless camp, which was a bit unfortunate, not a deal breaker for me. Overall, the location is good, within walking distance to all of the downtown casinos. It's also about 30 minutes from North Lake Tahoe. It does have a heated pool and spa. My family mainly used the spa, since the pool water was still a little bit on the cool side. My main complaint is that the wall between each room and each floors are a bit thin. You can actually hear conversations from the room next door and above me. I really mean the walls are very thin. The good thing is that every room has a microwave. I used the coffeemaker to make hot water. The free water bottles are on a bit smaller size, meaning kids size. Otherwise, everything is good, even the concessions/coffee shop is pretty good.
