For our plans to be in the city all day each day, we stayed at the Elmhurst Hotel for four nights. Alternative to costly hotels in New York City, this hotel is a viable option. It is a relatively new property located south of Rust Avenue and close to the index, f, and I subway trains, both of which will take you to midtown Manhattan in 20 minutes. The hotel is an 8-minute walk from Laguardia's que select bus station. The hotel's cleanliness is the first thing you notice. There is a vending machine and vending machine in the modest lobby. The staff at the front desk, which is attended by 247, was competent. Breakfast was included in the room rate, but there isn't an inside dining space. A voucher for a limited menu selection at the nearby corner restaurant is offered. The Ave Jackson house restaurant provided us with a better option. We got a comfortable king bed with four excellent pillows in our room. The tub was in the bathroom, and soap, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion were provided. The towels were adequate but somewhat coarse. The el, despite being close, did not disrupt our sleep. Jackson heights has always been an ethnic neighborhood and it is still present today. We stayed at the Elmhurst hotel for four nights because we planned to be in the city all day each day. This hotel is a reasonably priced alternative to Manhattanpriced hotels. It is a relatively new property located just north of Roosevelt Avenue and conveniently located to both the itEL and the index, f, i, and I subway trains, both of which will take you to midtown Manhattan in 20 minutes. If you arrive at Laguardia, the que select bus service stop, which is an eight-minute walk from the hotel, is the first thing you notice. The lobby is small, with a vending machine and an ice maker. The front desk is attended to 247, and the staff was competent. Breakfast is included in the room rate, but there is no place to eat on-site. A voucher with limited menu choices at the nearby corner eatery is offered. Ave Jackson House Restaurant helped us find a superior option. Our accommodation was a cozy king bed with four excellent pillows. There was a dresser, night tables, a large screen, and a well-traveled desk. The bathtub was provided, as well as soap, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion. The towels were adequate, if a little gritty. Although it was close, the el did not affect our sleep. The Elmhurst is brand new and is affordable, so you can save money without fearing the place is run out. Nice beds, typical ny bathroom, and average room. We did seem to have to call about something most days, but they are very nice about it. Staff around the clock, so safe. The included breakfast is at the nearby restaurant around the clock. You cannot order from the entire menu, but you can choose one of three plates and oj or coffee. You're fine if you enjoy eggs, I suppose. After the first day, we had breakfast somewhere else. Ideal for a low-cost stay when all you need is a place to sleep and store your belongings.
