We stopped at the Fairfield late at night after needing to leave another hotel in Lexington that was unacceptable due to lack of cleanliness. When we arrived, Summer was at the front desk and could tell we were stressed. She went above and beyond and personally came up to the room to ensure all was acceptable and we were okay. It was the kind of service you often find in the Marriott brand and she really calmed us and made our stay. Hotel was new and very clean. They also continued breakfast in a safe distance way which was a nice touch. We had a very nice experience and many thanks to Summer!

Great Location on and off for I 81. Front desk staff exceptional and excellent Covid precautions. Breakfast outstanding with individual meals prepared. She was outstanding and quick. Room was clean, however not totally up to Marriott standards. TV issue 1st room, No hand or face towels in 2nd room. Front desk corrected, however issues should nave been caught by supervisor. Still a good stay and would go back,

This is the third time we have stayed at Fairfield Inn and Suites. Unfortunately while previous visits were fine, this visit not so much. First the bad news: We asked for a room that did not have pets but when we got to our “first” room we found lots of dog hair in the carpet (husband noticed this in front of the mini fridge and believe me he is not one to notice things like this). After seeing that I looked at the rest of the carpet and at the entrance of the room there was gravel type white tiny stones over all the carpet. We requested a new room and were moved to the fourth floor. Room was cleaner but the curtain was broken at the end and hanging down. We had just driven close to 13 hours so it wasn’t worth the time to or energy to report it. During the night from about 8:30 to approx 10:00 there were a lot of young ladies yelling, slamming doors, in the hallway laughing and talking loudly. We did not complain as this was a cheerleading squad who I believe was celebrating their competition win and though we were exhausted it wasn’t late to them so we just tried to get to sleep the best way we could. However it showed that the walls and doors are not sound proof which in a hotel this is important. Heating is forced air and loud. Something in the bathroom sink clanks when using the hot water. Staff is under staffed! Staff seems to have to wear many hats. Not good for customer experience. No small table in room so if you have food to eat there is no place to eat. Good news: Location is great for on and off highway. Staff is exceptional. We had Treaston check us in and change our rooms. He was friendly, empathic and helpful. At one point I had to wait at the front desk (to get news cards for new room) as Treaston left a note saying he had to step away but would be back shortly. Just a bit later here comes Treaston carrying sheets. So I presume he had to help a customer in a room at the same time he was working the front desk. He wasn’t rattled or complaining. But this is an unfair way to treat good employees. Another employee (sorry did not get her name but she was working the front desk at 6:00 am on March 7th.) She appeared to be working the front desk and the kitchen. She was also friendly and professional. Though the kitchen wasn’t opened she offered to get us coffee and tea. Exceptional! The shades are automatic. Nice touch Tv is huge. Beds were comfortable. Lots of hand sanitizer stands around hotel. Staff wearing masks and gloves. Unfortunately the bad outweighs the good so we cannot recommend this hotel and we will not be staying here again. Please reward Treaston and the woman we met the next morning. Please up staff your staff. Please sound proof your rooms. Please inquire of your guests their travel plans and place them in appropriate rooms (example put all cheerleaders on one floor and other guests on another floor so everyone has an enjoyable stay).

This is a fairly new property, located near I-81. We were on the 5th floor, and even though I-81 is below grade at this point, still had a lot of road noise. Down side for this location, very limited restaurants nearby. Unless you want Burger King, you'll have to drive to the next exit for dinner. Room was clean and spacious. Had a walk in shower, which we prefer over a bathtub. Best feature - hot breakfast served to you! Been on the road a lot during Covid - finally someone is thinking outside the box to give you something better than a grab and go bag! Kudos to the management of this hotel!

I had stayed at the Fairfield inn and suites in Salem for a softball game my daughter was having and the front desk staff Sierra did a great job at helping us check in she was so nice and outgoing and she had took her time to help us with a place to eat Mac and bob was a great dinner she also told us about the hotel and precautions they are taking during COVID it was very clean and new hotel
