I am making it my personal mission right now to make sure nobody stays here. This hotel was a disappointment from start to finish. The room was dirty from top to bottom. The bathroom light didn't work properly so we had to bring a lamp into the bathroom. The fan sounded like a helicopter taking off. There were missing tiles and mildew, barbecue sauce (? we can only hope that's what it was...) and other unidentifiable substances smeared on the walls, the hutch with the mini-fridge inside was destroyed with wood shavings everywhere, there was a chunk out of one of the headboards, and when we were checking everything to make sure we didn't leave anything behind, we found an EGG MCMUFFIN WRAPPER under the bed that wasn't ours, and a battery under the other bed, crumbs.... it was so, so dirty. We raised our concerns to the front desk when we checked out and they said they'd "make things right", only to be given a 20% refund AFTER having to follow up 2 weeks later when they didn't get back to us after we left. On top of this, the hallways smelled like weed and you could hear everything between the walls. When we tried to contact guest services the first night, the line was busy. Every time we tried to dial it from then on it was busy, so the phone just wasn't working properly. We were excited to have a weekend getaway and this hotel experience truly made things not only disappointing, but dangerous in the era of COVID-19. Now more than ever, extra precautions need to be taken to make sure rooms are clean and sanitized, and this room looked like it hadn't even been wiped down on any surface. We have ample photo and video evidence and would not recommend this hotel to anyone, ever.

My boss paid for my room thru Expedia. But when I arrived, the FD Manager asked for a credit card for incidentals. That is normal for most hotels. Then she told me there was a $9.99 resort fee that was posted on Expedia but not charged thru them and I would have to pay. They took a $50 authorization on my card. The room was recently remodeled, not the whole thing, just the bedroom area. The bathroom was old and dingy. The room was large but oddly shaped. When I checked out I asked the guy at the front desk for a receipt. He said he could email it to me. I asked how since they never asked for my email address. I asked for a printed receipt and he said he couldn't because of covid. It was the hotel policy. WHAT? That is the dumbest thing I've ever heard blamed on covid. I asked again to please just print a receipt and I'll be on my way. He refused. A couple days later, I realized why he refused to give me a printed receipt. They not only took an authorization on my card but also charged me the $9.99 (which I expected) AND they charged an extra $181.66 on my card with no explanation. The room was prepaid and confirmed by the FD manager so there was no reason to charge me an extra $181.66. I was only there for one night and it certainly was not worth that price. There was no reason to charge a "resort fee" because this is NOT a resort. It is no where near a resort and has no amenities of a resort. I was offered a banana at check in. I was told about a bagged breakfast starting at 7am. I told her I was leaving at 6am so she offered me a banana. I would not stay here again.

I booked the room online. When I went to check it, they requested proof of a negative Covid 19 test taken within the past 72 hours or proof of quarantining the previous two weeks. None of this was stated when the room was booked. I had quarantined but did not have physical proof and the front desk did not offer any solutions. Needless to say, they would not let me check into the prepaid room and it took 5 days and 9 phone calls to get my refund. It was the worst service I have ever experienced with a hotel. Stay away!

Above and beyond! Incredibly clean and staff was exceptional! Even the managers were also during my three day stay, Brad also saved my trip by checking my empty transmission fluid in a suit (it was almost empty) Kudos to all the staff!

The location isn’t a bad spot to get to downtown Newport, that’s the only good thing I can say about my stay, it’s down hill from there so buckle up. . Right off the bat I noticed how dirty the entrance was, my gut said “RUN” but since the wife picked this ( she feels extremely bad about) I didn’t want to be that guy. The front desk staff is as useful as bubble gum on your shoe. They don’t know how to operate their POS and can’t print receipts or tell guests why there are other charges to their card. House keeping were very pleasant and welcoming! If you are looking for a quiet stay, won’t happen very thin walls and can hear other guests and door slamming at all times of the night. The beds are AWFUL, booked a king size bed, thought it would have been amazing.... absolute trash, you can feel every spring in your back. Our room hand a dirty hand print on the wall and our towels had yellow stains on them, had to get new ones. So of our lights didn’t work as well, and because of the front desk staff I didn’t even want to ask to switch rooms. For the price the breakfast offers were lack luster to say the least, horrible coffee and grab n go cereal. Last but least the check out progress was a MESS. They had a customer who wanted a receipt and to know why there were more charges than expected, the front desk staff couldn’t answer questions or print receipts, SAD! All in all pay an extra $80.00/night and go somewhere else. Please stay away.
