The room was clean and it’s nice to be able to get unlimited free bottles of water from the their lobby fridge. The keycard system really needs fixing though. In 3 days my keys stopped working 3 times. They also didn’t open the sliding door into the hotel.
They only have one desk worker for the two sides so he keeps having to go back and fourth which is frustrating when you’re just trying to get in the building to go to your room.
I’m also not sure why the gym is open but not the pool? Plenty of other hotels in the area have their pools open by now. And still no hot breakfast despite no Covid restrictions in the area….. but still charging full price for rooms. Seems like they’re delaying opening on purpose.
I also found the front desk man to be a little condescending. He explained that all the amenities were closed but then said that the fitness center was open, I asked if that included the pool and he started speaking slowly, like I was an idiot and said “nooooo because I just said the amenities are closed”… rather rude.
We also didn’t appreciate his apparent confusion that my two, married, male friends would want to have just one, king sized, bed in their room. He kept saying “but just one bed? For you two?” Yes, they are a gay married couple, one bed is what they booked. Maybe a little diversity training would be a good thing?
