We boarded a flight for our 15th anniversary, sat on board for over an hour waiting for our turn to de-ice the wings, but it never came. Our flight was canceled, long weekend ruined. Didn't want to go home, so we drove to Annapolis to drown our sorrows at Galway Bay (so good) over a pint. Trip Advisor suggested Historic Inns of Annapolis and we decided to give it a try. We had a lovely room at the Governor Calvert House. The front desk gal was so sweet, even after being spoken to like a plebeian by the rude guy in front of us. The weather was awful, but Annapolis is lovely no matter what season it is. We checked out, ate brunch and decided we couldn't leave without spending one more night. We moved to the Robert Johnson house. Great room, amazing location. The location is unbeatable for all three inns.
We can't wait to go back with all our friends for a grown up weekend soon. Thanks for easing the pain of our disappointment and making our anniversary one for the books!
