Holiday Inn Express & Suites Barstow-Outlet Center

I recently had to stay here due to vehicle troubles and the staff was among the best I have ever experienced. When I was having a very frustrating time they were welcoming and friendly. I would single out Jennifer and Toni who worked the front desk and the maintenance man Jose who gave me a ride to the car rental agency. They were critical for my well being in a stressful situation. I wold recommend anyone to stay at this hotel just for the chance to meet these wonderful people. Sincerely and great full, The guy with the butterfly hat.

Car travel for days had left us very fatigued, so we were quite pleased with reception and facilities provided in difficult times. We are commenting especially about the effort made to supply some breakfast service despite restrictions. Management here had taken an effort to extend what was doable in these times. We had previously stopped at several motels that simply shut down all breakfast service, but here they clearly went out of their way to offer omelet and other amenities. So our hat is off to the Barstow Holiday Express. Thank you.

Very nice quiet hotel. The hotel staff was great and the hotel was well maintained and clean. They had a hot breakfast, but we left too early to try it. Very easy to access the hotel from tje highway.

We drive from Michigan to California every year, spending winters in CA. This year we’ve started taking notes on the places we stop, and this hotel was the best (A+) among eight hotels. New, clean, well maintained, a full array of TV movie channels, fine slope in the bathtub if you enjoy soaking in a tub, and a complete breakfast, scrambled eggs and sausage included. All of this and “pet friendly.” We stayed in a 4 hotels that we rated “A,” two B’s, and and two C’s. This was the best of the A’s. We’ll stay here on our return drive.

This was a decent one night stay redeeming IHG points. Travelling through on our Route 66 adventure we decided to stop at the HIE Barstow. The room was fine with the usual facilities. Breakfast was complimentary and it was also fine, although nowhere near as good as the one we had at the HIE La Jolla. Free parking is available.
