We had a great stay here. We visited with our two children and found the location to be perfect for going to the aquarium and walking around downtown. Very clean. Friendly staff. Would definitely recommend!

This hotel gets 5 stars for the following attributes: very large rooms, with a big desk, huge, beautiful bathroom (including a soaking tub, a very luxurious robe and high quality amenities), and super comfortable beds, all of which were so welcome at the end of long days walking all over the city; the perfect location, quiet on the Harbor with a gorgeous view, but close enough to the action to walk to the North End, Quincy Market and the Freedom Trail sites and literally steps to the Boston Tea Party museum; easy, convenient parking attached right to the hotel with a direct elevator to the lobby (not included with the rate but convenient); very helpful staff - making our room and the hotel super clean and making our stay so pleasant, easy in terms of navigating the City, and giving us everything we needed; and on site restaurants which were open and served a delicious breakfast each day (again, not included but convenient). I highly recommend this hotel for families (or anyone)! I must add that the lobby is so pretty - the fireplace was always going, making for a very inviting place to sit and have a drink, and it always smelled like the fresh flowers that are displayed everyday. Such a nice place to stay to recharge from the hustle and bustle of the days touring the city.

We were in complete awe of how appreciative, gracious and welcoming the entire staff was to have anyone (not just us) there. It was clear that they are not at their preferred staffing level due to COVID, but they never once failed to make us feel welcome. Patrick greeted us outside with a luggage cart, offered us umbrellas for the miserable weather weekend it would be and brought everything up to our room. Anytime we left the hotel, he recognized us and said hello. We travelled with our dog and even she was welcomed warmly by the staff, starting with Patrick who took to her. We were fortunate that the Spa had opened a week before we stayed so we took advantage and got a couples massage. They were very apologetic that the other amenities were not open yet, but we knew that going in and understood. Miel was outstanding, both food and service and the drinks at RumBa were fantastic! It was very evident that not only this hotel, but the entire city of Boston suffered immensely from the pandemic. I have read some of the other reviews and hope that anyone else who reads them, can understand just how hard the service industry has been hit in this area and have a little patience as everything starts to open back up. Speaking to the Spa Director and the Food and Beverage manager at RumBa, they're trying, but they have also lost employees so be patient with them. We will come back and stay again, maybe even bring the kids next time!

Location is wonderful and close to the Aquarium and Seaport area with lots of restaurants/shopping. The hotel is next to the Independence Wharf Observation Deck (great views and its free!). There was virtually no one staying at the hotel, however I think we got the crappiest room overlooking a roof. Ask for a high floor regardless of the view (water or city). Rooms are basic, nothing special. The sheets had a strong odor of chemicals. Be aware that we had great difficulty getting Uber rides during our visit (late May 2021). The hotel staff tried to get us a taxi to the airport after our confirmed Uber ride (5:45am) cancelled last minute. Since the taxi service was not able to confirm a pick up time we ended up walking to South Station and took public transportation to the airport. Not the kind of stress you need going to the airport! Have a drink at the Envoy Hotel rooftop bar which you can see from the back of this hotel. Reservations recommended.

Tried calling up the hotel at 1am and no one answered. Checked in the hotel and Mr. Tamaki was at the desk. He could not find the reservation and took time to check in. Told him that i was gold on ihg and requested for an upgrade but it didn't matter him much. There was no drinking water available... 2 stars cUz the tooms are big and comfortable... But service wise not happy yet.
