The New Haven Hotel exceeded my expectations. The front entrance was off street so I could drive up and unload. The reception area was very spacious and included a large lounge; the front desk staff were extremely friendly, welcoming, and helpful; and the room was clean, attractive , and comfortable. I slept soundly, departed early, to catch a train to NYC, which is a walk away. Next time I’ll arrange a ride from the hotel to the train station for expedience.

My parents had a wonderful stay at the New Haven, unfortunately the restaurant was closed but it’s in an awesome location in the middle of lots of dining options. There is a nightclub close by, so depending on where your room is you may hear the music at night. The customer service was amazing, Zihima (sp?) was super sweet and accommodating.

Diahema from the front desk was wonderful! Even if she was the only one at the desk during check-in and there was a steady stream of guests checking-in, she remained cordial, professional and processed guest check-ins in a timely manner. She was delightful to work with.

I love the parking garage!! I was worried at first being in the city with two kids. We had a meet that ended at 10pm, but garage was completely locked down felt so safe!!! With the way things are now a days one less thing to worry about 💜💜💜

This is absolutely the best hotel I’ve stayed at in my entire 67 years. The room was exceptionally clean, and there was absolutely none of the “hotel room smell” we all know about. I was astounded by the cleanliness and freshness of the room. The bedding was clean and fresh. The staff was very nice and accommodating. The towels were quite rough on the skin I mean REALLY rough. I found myself wishing I had brought my own. Parking wasn’t bad. There’s a pedestrian walkway going from the parking lot (across the street) to the hotel. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anybody. These people are doing it right. It was a pleasure to stay here.

The property itself is fantastic and every single person who works there is professional and welcoming. They were super helpful in answering our questions and were very accommodating. My only complaint is that the room we were staying in faced the street and there must have been a club nearby because there was loud, thumping music until pretty late into the night. This would not stop me from staying again, but it did make it harder to go to sleep. Overall, though, this hotel is very clean and close to a lot of amenities and the staff is wonderful so I would stay there again if I went back to New Haven.

I recently stayed there with family in March 2025. This hotel is very close (walkable) to Yale New Haven Hospital, and so we stayed there while my father endured a challenging hospital stay. This was a difficult time for us as a family, and every member of the hotel staff consistently went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and hassle free. Each and every one we encountered was professional, helpful, and kind. We are so grateful and wanted to acknowledge the excellence of this hotel and its staff!
