We stay here frequently when in OKC. It is in a nice area with great restaurant options nearby. Rooms are comfortable -- though I don't know why hotels still have 2 double beds instead of 2 queen beds.
The hotel seemed understaffed. There was nobody in line in front of us when we checked in and we still had to wait several minutes while the clerk finished with a phone call. When I called the front desk, I was usually put on hold for a while.
This time, I was struck by the number of guests not wearing masks - contrary to the hotel policy and city ordinance. We had to walk through a group of maskless partygoers to get into the hotel when we arrived. Later, another man got onto the elevator with my daughter and me without a mask on. I should have asked him to mask up or get off the elevator, but I was too taken aback at the time. I know the hotel couldn't do anything about that, but I also saw a woman checking in at the desk without a mask. If the hotel allows that, then I can see why the same people think they can get away without masking at other times. If they can't do a better job enforcing this, then, sadly, we won't be back during the pandemic.
