To get straight to it...upon checkin we were asked if we’d participate in a “presentation” in exchange for $150 gift card. Presentation 90 minutes about their “products.” Our time was 8am the next morning and we received a call early to confirm. We are adults and didn’t ask for or want a reminder call as our kids were sleeping and it was an imposition.
Anyway, we get there and it’s one on one selling that’s basically a timeshare. Okay, so we go through all this with the guy. Very nice and knowledgeable salesman, but we declined at this time. Well he sends us off the “close” the “presentation” with another salesman, who stated this portion was to rate the experience and not sell. Um no. He tried to sell us something at a lesser rate. When we declined that and he realized that he wasn’t going to reel us in. He basically dismissed us with an aggressive attitude. THAT is why I’ll never stay there again. His actions in the one moment made us uncomfortable and it was ridiculous.
The room itself was good. They are older, but still spacious and have just about everything you need (besides extra towels-keep reading)!
Moving forward, we didn’t get any cleaning service during our three day stay. We could look past that, but the night before we were supposed the leave we came back to our room to find that we didn’t have any new towels. Not what we wanted or expected after a full day out. We call the receptionist and she says they’ll bring them. Two hours later none. We call again, she says she’ll rush them. Well here we are the next morning and we’re checking out...still no towels. Disgusting. Also, when we first arrived the iron didn’t work-they resolved that quickly and bought another to us.
This would have been a better stay had we received our towels/room cleaning and the guy on the tail end of the presentation wasn’t so aggressive and rude. He put a damper on it.
