Sole East had a great ambience, super clean and a pleasure to stay. Only issue was the fire alarm going off at 6am and again the next day. Otherwise it was a nice get away!

Nice weekend stay in Montauk. Quiet room with excellent wifi and AC. The restaurant and bar were terrific. Great for lunch and cocktail hour or after dinner drinks.

very nice property with lots of little sections in yard for small groups to gather. Very beachy atmosphere. The beds were very low to the ground, would have been more comfortable if higher. Rooms very nice though, small TV with poor cable connection. Property Managers should discourage people from "saving" loungers outside. I was asked to move by a woman who was "saving" 8 loungers that she was holding with beach towels. I apologized and moved elsewhere.

Dette var vår første tur til Long Island. Vi kom fra Boston og skulle fly hjem til Norge fra JFK, og fant ut at vi skulle ta en overnatting i Montauk underveis. Vi var strålende fornøyde med valget – men skulle gjerne ha vært der noen dager ekstra. Hotellet ligger et lite stykke unna stranden, men det gjør egentlig ingenting. Som så mange småbyer langs kysten, har ikke Montauk noe tydelig sentrum du absolutt må bo i. Ved å bo på Sole East fikk vi et mye bedre opphold: Mye plass, fantastisk hage-, basseng- og bar-område, bra restaurant – og kort vei til både rolige strender inn mot bukta og heftige strender ut mot Atlanterhavet. Spør i resepsjonen, så får du gratis parkering på stranda et kort stykke unna. Men strengt tatt, hva skal du på stranda når du kan ligge ved bassenget eller i en hengekøye i den store hagen og få servert småretter, østers og drinker fra svært hyggelig betjening...

One of the best places to stay in Montauk, front desk staff were really nice and accommodating. Perfect location, great to everything, and one of the only hotels with a good pool scene.

I was pretty surprised by the outdoor space they have where people can lounge about, use the hammocks, bikes, and they even had marshmallows to roast outside. This would have been amazing had it not been raining outside. I would definitely see myself staying here again. The rooms are pretty basic, AC, good lighting, bed, bathrooms have a decent amount of space. They do have robes to use.

Fantastic venue, which I will return to. Only two drawbacks: 1) the rooms are extremely small. 2) I guess they haven't gotten the message that we are trying to get away from "junk fees," since there is a surprise "resort fee" that is billed on arrival.
