It is too bad we went during C19 as everything great about this place is a little hard to appreciate during these crazy times. We will go back another time and enjoy the resort for what it is. This hands down the nicest place in Graeagle with all the resort amenities anyone could need. We stayed in room 117 which for us was perfect for our 2 dogs. Just back your car in and unload into your room thru the back patio. We did go to the pool and wish we could have stayed longer. Just chill out with drink service etc. poolside. I was put off by the $25 per day resort fee. It should be waved during the covid outbreak as well it is not possible to enjoy everything the resort fee should have given a guest.

The property is beautiful, but the biggest asset is the staff. Each person we encountered went beyond their job description to make our stay wonderful. We used the spa, and had fabulous massages. The sanitation protocols are followed diligently by all staff, we felt very well taken care of and safe. We hope to be back soon.

Umm. Switch & bait is my first thought for this place. Went booking their front page web site (even for the lodge) showed a photo of a great open building with a large pool -- THIS IS NOT THE LODGE. The lodge does NOT have a swimming pool at the lodge -- the swimming pool is located across a highway and up a hill that is part of the 'resort' that is actually the homeowners amenity that you will have access. ALSO, the 'forest' view rooms are views of the parking lot with trees in the near distance. The Lodge is on a HIGHWAY. The rooms are (I believe IMHO) a restored motel because the sink is outside the bathroom, the shower turn on is located on the wrong side of the shower entry door so you WILL get blasted with cold water turning it on; the towels rack and hanger are located so that it's a problem getting your towel; there will holes in the curtain backing; the shower stall had ill-cut tiles and thus had mold; the curtain rod was not able to hold the curtains as they fall off the end of the rod --- I could go on but why because you should get the picture by now. HOWEVER, I will say that if you popped for one of the resorts houses they sell then you might be happy with the arrangement. Having said all that--this was close to one of the better places to stay but at a too high price for what you get. BEST is to move on to Reno, Truckee or your destination.

A small boutique hotel located between Graeeagle and Portola. Beautiful rooms with Keurig coffee maker, small refrigerator and a combination bathtub/shower. They just recently reopened with proper sanitizing procedure in place. The olympic size pool is also open at theAltituses complex. The climbing wall and kids play area were not open as yet. The staff was very accomadating which made our stay more enjoyable. The golf clubhouse was beautiful. Designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. The Wigwam Restaurant was a little pricey so we chose to dine off site. Cuccia's Italian Restaurant in Graeeagle and Gumba's Family Pizza in Blairsden were our choices. Both just a short drive from the resort. If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing resort at 5,000 ft. this i your place. It should be noted that only ground floor rooms have outside patios.

Tired to make a reservation for one night and was told I needed to call back and talk with someone else, I called three times. Finally a very rude person called back and advised they would only rent a room for one night. I'm good with the policy, but they need to update there website which states it will book one night. They argued that the website did't say this. They don't understand who the customer is. Beautiful place and setting, but would not stay there.........
