Knowing that our upcoming trip to Disney World would not be very relaxing (ha!), we decided to leave home a few days early and stay at the Ritz-Carlton Grande Lakes.
I went back and forth countless times between staying here, or the JW Marriott next door. I made the right choice.
Check in was a breeze, and our luggage met us upstairs moments later. The staff took great care of us throughout the entire stay, and I utilized the chat feature in the app a few times as well.
The rooms were lovely, of course, as were the grounds.
We were there mid-week and didn't realize that several of the restaurants are next door at the Marriott. Highball and Harvest was where we spent our first dinner and two breakfasts, and everything was divine. Tip: get to breakfast early for the best coffee you've ever had. 😋 Service was remarkable every time.
The pool at the Ritz was lovely and quiet. If you're traveling with small children, a quick note that they do not provide life jackets for kiddos... and there's no true shallow bit. They do have a nice splash pad nearby, though. We ended up walking over to the Marriott to get our two pool tubes, included with the resort fee, so our little guy could kick about on his own. You're allowed to use the lazy river there, too, but it was pretty crowded with lots of adults having a good time (drinks in hand, taking up most of the river), so if you're looking for peace and quiet, grab your tubes and head back to the Ritz.
Overall, one of the best hotel stays we've had in years. We will definitely be back!!
