Excellent weekend stay - hotel is beautifully restored - lobby, veranda, pool area all tastefully appointed. Check in was easy/fast - front desk associates were very helpful and friendly. We stayed in the historic building in room 319 - overlooking entrance, bay/marina partially obstructed by a beautiful oak tree. Perfect location next to Vinoy Park, numerous nearby restaurants, snack shops, great for walking in a lovely part of St. Petersburg. Would stay again - room was large and well furnished, bed was very comfortable, large screen TV with apps for watching Netflix, etc. Snack shop on lobby floor had lots of quick breakfast items (muffins, juice, coffee) and wraps, soft drinks, individual beers, ice cream for daytime early evening snacks - Would however recommend later open hours past 7pm closing time. Pool area was spacious, lots of lounge chairs, large pool overlooking the bay and marina. Several well kept clay (Har Tru) tennis courts at the resort. The adjacent parking garage was convenient and spacious but was an additional $20/ night. No complaints-wonderful to see this historic hotel from 1925 vibrant - jewel of St. Petersburg, highly recommend!
