Hayot Hotel

This hotel was only about 10 minutes from the Airport. Ulugbek picked us up late from the Airport after a visit to Khiva. The hotel was in a good position the breakfast was excellent we were allowed to stay in our room a bit longer as our flight to London didn't leave till 4.20 then hotel supplied free taxi back to the airport. Made for a very comfortable and relaxing end to our 2 week holiday.

I've stayed at Hayot for more than four nights. It was a splendid stay. The facilities were in good condition. I loved my spacious room. The front desk were helpful and I didn't have any language barrier communicating with them. If I'm back in Tashkent, I will definitely stay in Hayot again.

I chose this hotel because I had an early flight to catch. The driver was right on time at 2:30am and drove me to the airport for free. The location is quite far away for the center and there is not much around. So you have no other option but to eat at the restaurant of the hotel. The food is just ok, but prices are reasonable. Check-in was quick. The ladies at the front staff spoke English, which definitely helped to book the airport transfer. I was given a room on the first floor facing the street. There is no elevator, however this was not a problem for me. The room was large, comfortable, and well-appointed. I later found out that the room window did not close properly so I could hear the traffic noise, which was a problem to sleep. You should ask for a room facing the rear of the building if you want a quiet room. Internet access is free but for a strange reason I could not connect in the middle of the night.

If you accept that you're going to need a taxi to go anywhere then this hotel is perfect ofr most needs. Staff all very obliging and friendly : - bringing free tea to our room every day - giving us the best exchange rate we got anywhere in Uz - hailing taxis for us and negotiating fares - giving us a free ride ot the airport including sending 2 porters with us to help with our bags at the airport! A definite first for me. - really big, comfortable rooms (the reason why I booked this hotel as we needed a room for 3) though some would prefer a softer bed. - some here commented on a charge for the gym/pool but there was not charge when we went each day of our stay. Perhaps this has been changed. Food at restaurant is a bit mixed with some lovely dishes but other dishes are very odd. It is definitely good value.

Made a big mistake. Selected the Hayot because it is close to the airport, but it wasn't worth saving 5 to 10 minutes from the early morning ride to the airport. Our last night, we found ourselves in the middle of nowhere, with no restaurants in the area, and ate a very bad meal at the Hayot. We had to leave at 2.30 am for the airport. They gave us a boxed breakfast, which i examined at the airport and threw out. Should have booked the Dedeman, which is where we stayed our first 2 nights and were very pleased.
