Choose this hotel if you want to be part of everything from Uzbekistan. The interior of the hotel is beautifully designed. We chose the hotel because it is possible to sleep in the yurt. It was a great experience. Nice pool and saunas. A distance from the city is little bit away but the bus stop close to the drive where you want (ticket 0.30 .-).

The moment you set foot in front of the hotel, you will be impressed with the deco. It's authentic and artistic. As you walked in, and check in the room you will be mesmerized. Though the hotel was a little bit small and I guess it's just 2 or 3 star but it does not lack with anything. It has swimming pool for you to soak in during summer. The breakfast was awesome with spread of local dishes. The staffs was friendly and eveready to assist you with your luggage.

We stayed at the hotel three nights (one night at the beginning of the trip and two nights at the end). The hotel is very far from the city center and less suitable for those who want to spend time in Tashkent. On the other hand, due to its proximity to the airport and train station, it is very suitable for those who Tashkent is a transit station for other destinations in Uzbekistan (as was our case). The rooms were spacious and equipped with everything including a hairdryer, USB ports and even a bidet in the bathroom. Internet connection was very good. The first room had poor maintenance marks like a missing cabinet handle and a broken floor of the shower basin. The other room was normal. The walls of the rooms are decorated with many decorations (hand made!), And the floor (in the lobby and the bathroom) is also decorated (most of the hotels I have stayed-in in Uzbekistan have been over-decorated, preferring a more minimalist design - but it is a matter of taste). The hotel staff was sympathetic, there was always a representative who spoke quite fluent English, and we received whatever help we asked for. On the roof of the hotel there are seating areas and a restaurant where breakfast is served which was fine and included the basis of local meals: egg, fruit vegetables, drinks and pastries. In addition you can order food and drink at any time - the service is reasonable. We were not satisfied with the hotel's shuttle service. We ordered four trips (twice to the airport, once from the airport and once from the train station), none of them arrived /left on time.

I found this hotel through booking.com. When I saw their score 8.5 , I thought it must be ok , but it is not . First it is far from the city center, it is not convenient for business stay. Second the Internet is horrible. Third the breakfast is just ugly, they served boiled eggs which was almost black inside. The phone to reception desk does not work. Even though it may seem cheaper, but in terms nerves and inconvenience it is to expensive, I paid 65usd per night , but my room was not that much clear as it was supposed to be. The interior is ok for Asian style, looks fascinating, but is the only positive think to remember from this hotel

The Hon Saroy is a lovely hotel on the outskirts of Tashkent city. The service here is impeccable, great rooms and good breakfast. The staff are so personable and helpful, and the Japanese style toilets a winner with my travelling companions. The problem is it's distance, a 15 min taxi ride into the city, but Tashkent with its Russian design and large tree lined boulevards is a city where taxis, super cheap, are somewhat of a necessity anyway. The only drop of a star here for this great hotel is the difficulty in negotiating a return fare, because of the distance out of the city centre. The train station and airport are also in the southern area of Tashkent, so no problem to reach.
