I stayed at this place for 3 nights and the experience was just OK. There is a massive common area with a pool table, seating and a kitchen with guests can use. The wi-fi works well throughout the hotel. The rooms are spartan, though clean enough and fairly comfortable. The A/C worked well and I really enjoyed the hot showers at this place which are somewhat of a luxury among Venezuela's budget hotels. The only let down of this place is the staff. The Irish owner apparently left a while ago and there seems to be a Venezuelan family looking after the place. It's a little noisy and you're never sure who you can ask if you need information on the area, a towel, to call a taxi etc. Half of them seemed really nice and the other half were either lazy or just rude. The fatty who seems to be in charge is very unfriendly and didn't crack a smile the whole time. Overall, this place is good value for money though I personally would check out some other options before staying here again. If you're considering staying here on a Fri or Sat night then keep in mind that there is a nightclub across the street and it can be a little noisy until 3am, though with the door shut and the A/C it's not so bad.

You need to be ready for an Irie experience at the Hotel Patrick. The hotel is very basic and the two rooms I stayed in were clean and relatively comfortable. My first night there, I had no air conditioning in my room, which was a little disconcerting but I DID have hot water, which was a real blessing. The business owners were very welcoming and kind and the restaurants they suggested I go to were good. The hotel is noisy and there are many animals roaming around. The hotel is well located in relation to the water/beach, the monument, the downtown, and central church. Internet worked really well in all of the rooms adn you can easily walk to grocery stores, etc.

Went with my husband on a 3 week Caribbean island hopping trip and spend a few nights at Hotel Patrick at the beginning and the end. The rooms are very basic but totally acceptable. The owner and his wife were very helpful to say the least. Any question or plan we had they helped up organized it. Dolphin swimming, island booze cruise or jeep tour...they showed us around and where to go. We definitely plan to come again and enjoy their company. We didn't stay long, maybe 7 nights all together but it seemed like we made friends.

I stayed at the Hotel Patrick in August, and really enjoyed my experience. Michael was an amazing host - he made the hotel a home away from home! Juan Griego has a lovely centre and great food: I recommend staying here for those who don't want to spend a fortune at other places on the island.
