I really hate writing negative reviews. But in this case, I believe it is best to be honest. The location of the hotel is ok and the rooms are ok. But when we arrived at 6pm the power was off, no one was in reception and foyer was full of drunk Vietnamese men. Eventually the lights came on and someone appeared, but they didn't have our booking. We know this only because we had a Vietnamese friend helping us. They finally found our booking and we made our way to the room.
It appears we may have arrived at the same time as a big group of Vietnamese people. They all leave their doors open and talk loudly late at night and early in the morning. So it was a very noisy hotel.
At night we stayed out with our friend, only to get back to the hotel and discover we had been locked out. I think we were supposed to leave the key on the reception desk. But I did not feel comfortable leaving the key for a drunk man to pick up, given they had all been staring at me earlier. We rang the phone number but no one answered. So we had to wait until 6am when the person behind the reception desk woke up.
We then changed to a different hotel. We did not receive a full refund.
I think this is a hotel for local people but not so great for tourists.
