We were given a large room on the 2nd floor which was clean and tidy with a King sized Double bed. it was furnished with an LED TV, closet, two arm chairs and a coffee table, sideboard, mini fridge and a room safe. They had very soft pillows and clean sheets. It also came with its own split level air-con. it also had two umbrellas in the closet for your use in case it rained outside. Two bottles of mineral water and an electric kettle was provided but no complimentary tea / coffee making facilities. The bathroom had good hot and cold forceful shower and was fitted with the "Rain Forest' Shower Head as an option besides the normal shower hose which was really awesome. This was one of my best showers in Vietnam during my current tour. We were provided with two large bath towels, hand towels and an array of toiletries not expected of a 3 Star hotel. The downside to this hotel was the buffet breakfast as it had very limited choice. slices of bread, hard boiled eggs, butter & jam ( both dished in bowls ) and Pho ( vermicelli soup) on request. Ordered HALF boiled eggs and was served HARD boiled eggs. Language was a big barrier as they hardly speak a word of English except for the Manager Mr. Quyen who spoke reasonable English. PS.(1) I spoke to Mr.Quyen on the breakfast served and and advised him on what should be the minimum types of food expected by foreigners. He was very appreciative and being new thanked me and said that he would take note and ensure that future breakfast layout would include other dishes suitable for foreigners. (2) I also spoke to him about providing complementary tea & coffee making facilities to all rooms as this was now the norm. He immediately got housekeeping to deliver the tea & coffee sachets to all rooms ( Our group occupied 11 rooms) and also confirmed that he would from 1st October 2015 provide complimentary tea & coffee sachets in all rooms for future occupants.( Would appreciate feedback from future occupants)

The first impression at reception with not overly friendly staff wasn't good. The room was ok. A good size, beds a bit hard but alright. I rang and asked 3 times for a couple more pillows and each time they said ok (they even sent someone up to see exactly what I wanted as they possibly couldn't understand me) but even then when I showed them the pillow they didn't arrive. Not a huge thing but a wee bit annoying. The shower ran out of water after 10 minutes, then we had to wait about 20 minutes to 30 minutes for it to come right again. The staff at the breakfast restaurant were also not very friendly. We love the Vietnamese openness and friendliness and this was sadly lacking at this hotel. The breakfast was just ok. Not terrible and not great. The bed was relatively comfortable so points to them there. Wouldn't stay again. There are better places.

We were disappointed. Location wasn't great (wasn't a nice part of town). Must say the room (VIP suite) was clean and perfectly fine, but the guests in the rooms near us were extremely loud and noisy at very early hours of the morning. Yes, I know this can just be bad luck and happen anywhere. But the staff weren't welcoming - something we had become very used to and enjoyed in Hanoi. The breakfast was awful, it was included in our stay so we went the first morning - didn't particularly eat anything - and didn't go back. Our family were spread across other hotels in town and we ate at their hotels and the staff there organised tours and transport for us. We had a large balcony, but there was so much out there (trees / pots / etc) you couldn't even see out into the town. Our advice would be to choose a smaller more boutique hotel like the Boutique Sapa (where we spent a lot of our time). We wish we'd made a better choice as there are far better options out there. We wouldn't recommend this hotel.

Expensive room with 3 star rating .. First given room has many cockroaches.. Then the receptionist gave me another room with spoiled air conditioner and hair dryer. I had to stay awake for whole night because it was too hot!! Get away from this hotel!!

It was rated 3 stars outside the hotel however I suspect its rated themselves as it wasn't any 3 stars hotel standard I've been in. For the usual hotel ratings, there is a gold plated sign showing its certified rating wit the stars showing on the gold plate. Here goes. When we first arrived, the reception came out and help took our bags in, the room keys were given and we went to the room. Waited for 10 minutes however the bags did not arrived. We had to go down to check where were the bags, when we were at the reception, the bags was on the side of the counter. I was assuming someone who helped bring the bags up. I guessed wrong. I read many comments in the TripAdvisor review that the recepion was great and friendly however I was wrong. Maybe its due to my pale yellow skin rather than "white" skin which a westerner have. Racist much? When we were at the room, it was small and there was a "window" which was facing a wall. I guess its due to all the cramp buildings together thus there is no window to began with. The room slippers were hard and painful to wear so I had to wear my own slippers inside the room. The shower area door had a big gap underneath causing the water to leak out and wet the whole bathroom. The hair dryer was broken, it looked pretty old and I guess its no longer working. Also note there is limited hot water, therefore you better predict when the hot water is going to go out else you will be showing with cold water. The TV receiption is terrible and blurry too, it is "watchable" if you have no other entertainment if its raining outside. Oooo yeah ... overall the experience was bad however luckly the Internet connection was good. I did a speed test and it was clocking 10mbps down with 10mpbs up. Hope this review helped. Enjoy Sapa!
