When arriving after plane and taxi, if you are old you do not want to be faced with a climb of 20 steps up to the front entrance. There is no elevator alternative. Further, the bathroom facilities included a jacuzzi type bath which could be used with the shower but was a bit precarious to stand on. I don't know if other rooms had the same arrangement. For these reasons I could not recommend this place for those old or infirm. However, the room was large, pleasantly decorated and clean. The porters were most helpful and will charge up and down the front steps with your luggage all day

Hotels cleaning staff stolen 350 USD cash from our locked suitcases from our locked room, and whole hotel staff covered their back. They not wanted to call police, neither not called a proper English speaker manager, they did only just after we had to shut with them, while whole hotel guests joined to the lobby what is happening. They acted like not caring whats happening in their own hotel, even local police officers advised to collaborate to handle the issue on peaceful way, but they not wanted to be a proffessional hotel management. We had to leave them with 350 usd loss, which stolen by their own staff from our room. Top on that they tried to overcharge us with one extra night.

We booked this hotel last min with little review of the town. I would say the location is very good though, everything was easily accessible. There are lots of 'grab' bikes or taxis close by to take you around. We did walk to the citadel one day- however it was about a 30 min walk. The complementary breakfast was great, lots of options and a huge room with lots of seating. There was a roof top pool and sitting area which was nice to have an evening beverage. There are lots of restaurants and bars close by. The hotel room was dated, as was the bathroom however it was clean. There was also a large bar fridge.

To cut a long story short, we went down for breakfast on the first day and left all of our stuff in our room out on show as we was only going to be quick. After our 10 mins spent at breakfast we decided to use the stairs to get to our room only to find housekeeping already in our room to my surprise. One of the housekeepers was next to the lift, I assume as a look out. Thought nothing of it only to find money had been taken out of my wallet. 500,000 Dong to be precise. After double and triple checking to be sure I went down to the reception to confront the receptionist, whist explaining a Korean family jumped in and explained that the day previous they had local Korean currency taken from there room also. After a long discussion, they decided to not believe me and refused that the staff were even in our room, they also said that the cctv would take 4-5 hours to look through which was a obvious ploy to get us off their back. I insisted that the police were called in, which they eventually turned up and completely ignored me. We finally went to the police station and I wrote a statement explaining what happened, after they spoke amongst themselves they said they didn’t believe me, but as a resolution they said I won’t pay for the night on the terms that I signed a statement saying I would not leave a BAD REVIEW on trip advisor. So save yourself the hassle of having your belongings/money stolen and stay somewhere else. Also as a precaution I waited until we left the country before I wrote this review as they had our passport numbers. A bad incident in a otherwise nice and friendly country. Can also provide proof of our stay if needed.

This hotel runs a scam. We booked the suite and a twin room next door (we’re a family) on booking.com the afternoon of our arrival. Take a look at the suite online, it’s gorgeous. We checked in and were ushered into a double and a twin room on separate floors. The double room was disgusting - it was tiny, musty and mouldy and obviously not what we’d booked only that very afternoon. Down we go to reception “so sorry, suite broken this morning, very bad, can’t show you”. So why didn’t they tell us at check in? Because it’s a SCAM. They advertise really nice big rooms for a reasonable price and when you turn up the room is mysteriously unavailable. They put you into a significantly inferior room without prior warning and if you are not happy with that - which we were not - and decide not to stay, then you are subject to the booking.com cancellation fee of 50% which has your credit card details. Of course this fee can and should be waived by the hotel for not honouring the confirmed room but once the cancellation is made and you request the waiver of the fee, which they have already promised to give, you are completely in their hands to action it. They then insist the cancellation fee has been waived when it has not - instead a cancellation confirmation is sent through by booking.com which - if you read it - says the fee has not been waived, yet the hotel continues to insist it has. We refused to leave until they had completed this three second job which took multiple phone calls, emails, lies and FORTY minutes before they finally got sick of us and gave in and did it. To make matters worse, whilst sitting with my children in reception waiting for my husband who was speaking with the staff I saw a RAT run across the lobby. DO NOT BOOK ONLINE TO STAY AT THIS HOTEL as they run a SCAM and something tells me this isn’t the only place that does it. Booking.com needs to seriously reconsider its policies and I for one will no longer be using this site. You have been warned.
