Great place to stay with comfortable accomadation and very friendly staff. Excellent evening meal and Malcolm and Beauty made us feel very welcome. The grounds are delightful and is in a very quite area.

We had a great night here owner and staff all happy and helpful the grounds of lodge were well kept and nice to walk round the room was very big and was well kept the only thing we had a problem with was a damp smell from the en suite it wasnt over powering but was there in back ground an air freshener in there would of taken care of it but overall best place ive stayed in, in bulawayo and will return when im there again later this year

Arrived at the property after confirming booking on a booking website. We arrived mid afternoon at 3pm on Friday 18th October after driving from Harare.There was no one to check us in when we arrived even though we had confirmed our dates. Luckily one of the property's caretakers were there to give us the contact number of the manager, who we then called and was busy at a golf tournament so was not able to come and check us in. We asked if there was anyone else to check us in and we were told there was no one to do so and the manager suggested we wait for another 1.5 hours until 5pm once the golf tournament was completed. Note we had traveled for over 5 hours and were pretty tired. There was no apology or sense of empathy from the manager but just an expectation that we would wait until the golf tournament was finished. We had to then go stay at an alternative location, really sad as we had really been looking forward to staying with Southern Comfort, I hope no one else has to be subject to such service.

Malcolm is a great host that makes you feel at home and helps you with all your travel needs. Clean and confortable rooms in a very nice enviroment. The food at the restaurant is excelent. And they have a generator for the frequent power outages in the city.

The generator was not working and the owner did not communicate with us any problems to us prior to our checking in. Plugs were not working making us unable to charge phones.There was also no water in the rooms which made it really uncomfortable as we were unable to bath or use the bathroom.Location and the gardens where ideal for my friends wedding that we were attending
